Raised £16,000 Cancer. “The Big C”. All words we dread to hear when one of our loved ones is poorly or has had unexplained symptoms and has needed medical treatment. Imagine then, that this is the diagnosis of your beautiful bright blue-eyed baby 2-year-old, daughter, sister or granddaughter literally after days of being visibly poorly. One scan at the request of parents confirms the worst. This is the reality for Gracie Tudor, age 2. Gracie has a rare form of Neuroblastoma. That’s why, Gracie’s family, friends and their colleagues are organising a special Gala event in her honour to raise the much needed money for her specialist treatment. It’s not just the cancer though, Gracie is at high risk due to having a gene that increases the risk of the condition returning despite successful treatment. Instead, the family need to raise over £300,000 in readiness for advanced treatment that reduces the risk of the neuroblastoma returning. Any additional funds raised will go to neuroblastoma charities and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where Gracie is currently receiving treatment. So… with the sun shining in the midst of summer – lets get together, dance and sparkle in our Glitzy outfits and have fun in a bid to raise the much-welcomed funds to get Gracie the support she may need for the future an give her the best chance of overcoming this that we can! It is really important to note that any proceeds raised but not used, will be donated to relevant charities above and that the Staffordshire Association for Women Policing welcome additional sponsors to this cause.
